"Motivation for Success"
Do you ever feel that there are moments in our life where we simply feel as though the universe is working against us? It feels as if there is some greater force that continues to push us back or hold us back, no matter how hard we try to push forward. We might even say that this is a force that continues to hold us back, instead of move us in that forward direction, the direction that we are seeking strongly, but having extreme difficulty in obtaining.
Motivation to succeed, in one of the most difficult games we call life, is a challenging process. We struggle with motivation from time to time and sometimes at certain points in our life more than others. At times, these points in our life are critical and defining moments. Sometimes we may know why we are struggling and other times we are plagued by automatic responses that live far into our subconscious mind. Deep down though, I am certain, as I have witnessed it and also experienced it, that we can all dig ourselves out of that thinking process and ultimately out of those patterns of behaviors that hitch a ride during this time. We can motivate ourselves to choose to reframe our thoughts, think differently about a situation that weighs us down and ultimately choose positivity instead of negativity. What makes us run that extra mile when we feel as though we have nothing else left to give, is the same strength that supports our will to perform, which can help motivate us to choose our thoughts. Ultimately, our courage and resilience is what motivates us to push forward in times of difficulty. Whether we are feeling fear, sadness, loneliness or emotional or physical pain - take what is hurting you and use it to motivate you in the opposite direction. We can reframe our thoughts and therefore change our patterns of behavior, ultimately changing our performance in life. We can believe in ourselves one thought at a time. We just have to continue to keep that motivation each time we fall back into that negative headspace. Keep practicing, keep moving forward and above all, don't ever give up on you. Motivation and courage is key! You got this!
